How to Arrive From Ezeiza Airport to Downtown

The cheapest and safest way to arrive downtown is to take the bus of the company Tienda Leon. Tickets are sold at their counter, at the left, before the Customs exit and each trip costs 15$.
If you take the Tienda Leon bus, you have to get off at the last stop,(this is the corner of Santa Fe and Esmeralda streets) at the center of Buenos Aires. Then you surely are at more or less 1 km from your hotel. So you can walk or take any passing taxi-cab (yellow and black). You will be charged $3 to 5$. Tipping is not usual for taxis en BUE, but you could be charged extra by your baggage.
If you decide to take a taxi from the Airport, it's better to take one of those of the companies that have an official counter before leaving the Customs exit. Tienda Leon (at left) charges 42$, and Aeropuertos Argentinos (at right) charges 35$.
It is not always advisable to accept remises or taxis offered by unknown persons in the hall of the Airport; them may try to take advantage of the fact that you are a foreigner.

Money Exchange

The exchange rate is fixed at 1 peso ($)= 1 US$
Most shops, restaurants and supermarkets accept american dollar. International credit cards are also accepted in most places.
At the airport, at the right, after the Customs exit, you can change money at the Banco de la Nacion Argentina, that is open 24 hours.

Accomodation
Some relatively inexpensive downtown Hotels are offered at the WEB page of 30 JAIIO. They are at no more than 2 to 3km of the site of the 30 JAIIO.
Public transportation is pretty good in Buenos Aires, and you can count on it during day or night. You have to use coins, and in subways, you have to buy special metrocard at a counter entering each station. See lodging in the left frame.
